Our approach

We want this website to be usable by everyone, including people using screen readers, keyboard-only navigation or magnification.

The website is built with semantic structure and ARIA labelling, a "skip to content" link, one main landmark per page, keyboard-reachable navigation with visible focus states, visible form labels with text error messages, a light and a dark theme, and support for the operating system's reduced-motion preference. It is available in several languages, with right-to-left layout for Hebrew and Arabic.

Current status — stated honestly

No formal accessibility audit has been carried out, and no accessibility coordinator has been appointed. We therefore make no claim of certified conformance with any accessibility standard.

The GeoTactics battlefield tool can be operated without a mouse. The board can be focused with the keyboard, the arrow keys plus Page Up and Page Down move a cursor across the six hex directions, and keys are provided to select a formation, choose a move, attack or fortify order, confirm it, cancel or clear orders, execute the turn and open or close the help screen. A polite live region describes the hex under the cursor — its coordinates, terrain, occupant, strength and dug-in or selected state — as well as command points remaining, the result of each order and the change of turn, without revealing anything a sighted player could not see. These behaviours were checked in a keyboard-only test and through the tool's semantic markup; they have not yet been checked with an actual screen reader, so spoken output is untested.

The map-based simulator tool (Leader of the Nations) is a separate case and still relies mainly on pointer interaction: its map shapes can be reached and activated by keyboard, but it has no equivalent keyboard workflow or spoken description of the map, and that remains an open limitation.
